Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Brandon J. Phillips has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles. He also earned four credits toward an Associate in Applied Science degree.

A 2005 graduate of Port Gibson High School, he received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is the son of Minerva Brummell of Port Gibson and Dwight Collins of Shreveport.
