Miss Tinnin to marry Mr. Grogan on Feb. 19

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Alexander Tinnin of Ridgeland announce the engagement of his daughter, Jill Allison, to Kenneth Forbes Grogan IV. Mr. Grogan is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Forbes Grogan III of Vicksburg.

Miss Tinnin is also the daughter of the late Janet Alexander Tinnin. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Eldridge Alexander Sr. of Ridgeland and Elizabeth Rea Tinnin of Madison and the late Charles Alexander Tinnin Sr.

Mr. Grogan is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Dunagin Blackledge Sr. of Laurel and the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Forbes Grogan Jr. of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Jackson Academy. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in banking and finance from Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority and the Student Association.

She is a member of the Junior League of Jackson and the Metro Jackson Chi Omega Alumnae Association Board.

Miss Tinnin is associated with BankPlus in Ridgeland.

The prospective groom is a graduate of St. Aloysius High School. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in managerial finance from the University of Mississippi, where he served as president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

He received a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He is a member of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg, Vicksburg-Warren County Chamber of Commerce Board, past president of Vicksburg Kiwanis Club and president of the Y’s Men Club.

Mr. Grogan is a senior vice president and senior lender at BancorpSouth in Vicksburg.

Vows will be exchanged Feb. 19, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson. A reception will follow at The South.
