BAINBRIDGE, Ga. — Services for Gertrude Elizabeth Wilson were at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at Cox-Ware Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Clif Marquis officiating. Interment followed at Black Jack Baptist Church Cemetery in Bainbridge with family serving as active pallbearers. Visitation was from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wilson died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010. She was 86.
Mrs. Wilson was born to the late Thomas and Virginia Sanders on Aug. 31, 1924, in Vicksburg. She was married to the late Cecil Wilson and was a cashier in the retail industry for many years.
She is survived by her four sons, Jerry Wilson and (wife Lu) of Stockbridge, Ga., Tommy Wilson and (wife Jeanette) of Utica, Miss., William Wilson of Bainbridge and Gary Wilson and (wife Kelly) of Morristown, Tenn.; two daughters, Penny Wilson of Cairo, Ga., and Kathy Wiggins of Bainbridge; 14 grandchildren and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, William Sanders.
