A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning charged with possession of a stolen firearm, Vicksburg police Sgt. Sandra Williams said.

Rodney Thomas, 30, 71 Bellaire Drive, is accused of having a Winchester 30-30 rifle that had been reported stolen in Hazlehurst, in August 2007. Thomas was arrested at his home at 9:46 p.m., Williams said.

Thomas was being held without bond pending an initial court hearing.
