Vicksburg police Deputy Chief John Dolan tosses a 12.5-pound frozen turkey during the second annual Turkey Toss at Blackburn Motor Co. on Wednesday. The contest, just for fun, organizers said, was sponsored by K Hits 104.5, River 101 and Blackburn. Gerald Washington received the $200 first-place prize. Andrew Sandoz came in second, receiving a $100 Merle Norman gift certificate. A turkey dinner from Goldie’s Express went to the third-place winner, Moses Brown. It was free to participate in the event that drew about 45 people. Four turkeys were used for the event.
