Emergency workers carry Kent Huffty, 74, 523 Lakeside Drive, from his 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Saturday afternoon following a wreck on Gibson Road. Huffty was traveling east on Gibson near Malinda C. Robinson subdivision when his Jeep left the road and hit a tree, Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Satcher said. Huffty was taken to River Region Medical Center, then airlifted to University Medical Center in Jackson. He was in serious condition Saturday night, UMC spokesman Matt Westerfield said.
