Mr. Monti, Miss Price are married Sept. 25

John Thomas Monti and Amanda Helen Price were married at 3 p.m. Sept. 25, 2010, at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Patrick J. Farrell officiated at the ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Billie Abraham.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard E. Price of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Eleanor Price and the late A.W. “Jack” Price and the late Ray D. and Helen Roberts of Vicksburg.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Charles Monti of Troy, Mich. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Monti and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cavanaugh, all of Royal Oak, Mich.

Altar flowers were placed in memory of the bride’s deceased grandparents. Music for the ceremony was presented by Karen Harrison, organist; Pamela Butler, cantor and soloist; and Darcie Bishop, trumpeter.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were navy blue and champagne.

Matron of honor was Allison Price Nieto, sister of the bride, of Spanish Fort, Ala. Bridal attendants were Robin Price Toups, cousin of the bride, of Baton Rouge and Ellen Monti Kraska, sister of the groom, of Mountain View, Calif.

The groom’s brother, Joseph John Monti of Royal Oak, served as best man. Groomsmen were Carey Daniel Price, brother of the bride, of Vicksburg and Adam Nathaniel Monti, cousin of the groom, of Chicago.

Ushers were David Arthur Gorski of New York, N.Y.; Andrew Thomas Joliat, cousin of the groom, of West Point, N.Y.; Christopher Grant Price, cousin of the bride, of Seattle, Wash.; and John Trevor Scott of Chicago.

Flower girls were Whitney Leigh Nieto, niece of the bride, of Spanish Fort and Kelsey Isabella Kraska, niece of the groom, of Mountain View. Ring bearer was Grant Joseph Toups, cousin of the bride, of Baton Rouge.

Crucifer was John Patrick Ginotti, cousin of the groom, of Royal Oak. The groom’s cousin, Abigail Bridget LaDuke of Greensburg, Pa., served as program attendant.

Scripture readers were Dr. James Grant Price, godfather of the bride, of Vicksburg and Maureen Cavanaugh Ruhl, godmother of the groom, of Novi, Mich.

Special wedding assistant was Mary Ruth Jones.

A seated dinner and dancing followed the ceremony at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to St. Lucia. They will make their home on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

The bride is a senior interior designer at Elizabeth Curtis Design, the New York office of Paris interior designer Jacques Grange of Didier Aaron, France. The groom is an associate director of the Technology Group at UBS Investment Research in New York City.

Celebration

The groom’s parents honored the newlyweds Saturday with a post-wedding celebration in Troy.

Rehearsal dinner

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Rectory of All Saints’ Episcopal School.

Luncheon

Linda Kitchens honored the bride and her attendants with a bridal luncheon at Anchuca.

Cruise

Mr. and Mrs. James Jones of Vicksburg hosted a sunset cruise for family and friends of the bride and groom aboard the Sweet Olive.

Engagement party

The bridal couple was honored with an engagement party at the home of Dr. and Mrs. James G. Price of Vicksburg. Co-hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Selby and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Guynes, all of Vicksburg; Mr. and Mrs. John Carpenter of Tallulah; Dr. Adelbert Price of Thibodaux, La.; and Mr. and Mrs. Chad Toups of Baton Rouge.

Showers

A miscellaneous shower for the couple was hosted by the Episcopal Church Women of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Bovina, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Horan of Vicksburg.

Maureen Ruhl hosted a bridal luncheon and shower for the couple at her home in Novi.

Amelia Ross and Jenny Elzen, both of New York City, hosted a bridal shower at Alice’s Tea Cup on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
