Mr. Taylor, Miss Brooks are married

Dwayne Taylor and Beverley Brooks were married at 1 p.m. Oct. 24, 2010, at Calvary Baptist Church, Klein Street. The Rev. Rudy Smith officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Rogers and Katherine Brooks of Vicksburg. The groom is the son of Lillie Mae and Johnny Flagg of Vicksburg

The bride was given in marriage by her father and Rogers Wesley, her son. Her chosen colors were royal blue, turquoise and silver. Music was presented by Rosmond Daniels, pianist, and Cigi Taylor, Jadarius Flagg and Rogers Wesley, vocalists.

Maid of honor was Lillie Valentine of Vicksburg. Matron of honor was Deloris Defrance of Vicksburg.

Bridesmaids were Joyce Banks of Port Gibson; Tequila Washington of Tallulah; and Bioncia Dorsey, Dorothy Valentine, Kwanda Thomas, Ty’Ieshia Marshall, Naomi Valentine, Shakeria Crawford, Jasmine Crawford and D. Sada Taylor, all of Vicksburg.

Patrick Flagg of Vicksburg served as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Reed, Dennis Clark, K.C. Cassell, Derrick Sims and Lawerence Bolls, all of Vicksburg. Ushers were Deon Palmer, Khristopher Valentine, Vashon Williams and Eric East, all of Vicksburg.

Flower girl was Deondrea Williams of Vicksburg. Ring bearer was Jaquez Marshall of Vicksburg. Kemarion Taylor of Vicksburg served as bell ringer.

A reception followed at The Hut. Hostesses were Grace Brown, Linda Stevenson, Debra Rush, Debra Burrell, Mya Taylor, Shaniquall Marshall, Sandra Brown and Diane Taylor. Ae’ryl Jones and DeRiyah Dixion served as tea girls.

The couple will make their home in Vicksburg, where the bride is employed at Walmart and the groom is employed with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local.
