A Port Gibson man was killed late Saturday night after being pinned between two cars on Mississippi 18 about a mile east of Port Gibson, Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol Sgt. James Walker said.
Robert Earl Reed, 54, no street address reported, was pronounced dead on the scene just before midnight, after walking between two stopped cars that became mobile in a chain-reaction crash that involved eight vehicles, Walker said.
Claiborne County Corner J.W. Mallett said Reed died instantly from multiple injuries.
Funeral arrangements were being handled by Thompson Funeral Home.
