Michael Orcutt scored two goals, while Jonathan Brown, Russell Macoon and James Oliver added one apiece in Clinton’s (6-2-4, 1-0) rout of Vicksburg (4-6-1, 0-1).
Vicksburg put only three shots on goal in the game. Its only score was an own goal late in the first half that cut it to 2-1, but Orcutt scored three minutes later to make it 3-1 at halftime. Scores by Macoon and Oliver in the last 12 minutes of the second half iced it.
“We were doing all right until tonight,” Vicksburg coach Jason Bennett said. “You come out and try and play and it doesn’t work, and you just have to go back to the drawing board. It’s called practice, and that’s what we’ll do tomorrow.
