McCarthy Watts

LORMAN — McCarthy Watts died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Jefferson County Nursing Home in Fayette. He was 87.
Mr. Watts was a retired lineman. He was a member of Rose Hill Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Watts and Mamie Carter; two brothers, Alfred Carter Sr. and L.C. Williams; and a sister, Carzenia O’Quinn.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Watts; four sons, Tyree Watts of Chicago, McArthur Watts of Vicksburg and Tommie Williams and Cedric Watts, both of Lorman; four daughters, Marilyn Grandberry, Valentina Bell and Dr. Bertha Watts, all of Lorman, and Tewanda Watts of Atlanta; one stepdaughter, Susie A. Coleman of Lorman; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Christian Church with the Rev. Walter Chambers officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2 until 6 at Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
