YAZOO CITY — Cynthia Ann Martin died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was 69.

Born in Vicksburg, Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and member of Short Creek Baptist Church in Yazoo County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Daniel and Alma Catherine Wright Norwood; and two brothers, Luke Thomas Norwood and John Norwood.

Survivors include her husband, William Taylor Martin of Yazoo City; one son, William T. Martin Jr. of Pelahatchie; a brother, Frank J. Norwood of Vicksburg; two sisters, Patrice Aileen Mullen of Vicksburg and Alma Catherine Jones of Memphis; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City with the Rev. Bill Hutto officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
