Parks and Rec adult basketball

The Vicksburg Parks and Recreation Depratment is taking registration for its adult women’s and men’s basketball leagues. Registration forms can be picked up at the Parks and Rec offices on 100 Army-Navy Drive, or at the Jackson Street Community Center.

Registration ends Friday. The league is for players ages 18 and older. Cost is $125 per team, with an additional charge of $5 for each county resident. A mandatory coaches’ meeting will be held Dec. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Parks and Rec offices. For information, call 601-634-4514.

Church League basketball at Kings

The Kings Community Empowerment Center is taking registration for its church basketball leagues.

The leagues include youth divisions for players ages 12-14 and ages 15-18, as well as men’s and women’s adult divisions for players ages 19 and up.

The entry fee is $150. Registration ends on Dec. 31 and team rosters are due by that date. The season starts Jan. 15.

Teams can register at the Empowerment Center on 224 R.L. Chase Circle from 11 a.m until 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. For information, call 601-634-4788.
