James E. Wright Sr. died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 72.

Mr. Wright was a retired brick mason and of the Baptist faith. He was a 1956 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Ollie Wright; three brothers, Cleveland Wright, Clifton Wright and Nathan Wright; one sister, Vi Ruth Wright; and one son, Burnell Howard.

Survivors include two sons, James E. Wright Jr. and Gregory F. Wright Sr., both of Vicksburg; three daughters, Carolyn Harrison, Dianne January and Cassandra Lynn Swartz, all of Vicksburg; one sister, Corine Coins of Jackson; and other relatives, including members of the Cage, Coins, Hall, Harrison, Horton, January, Lewis, Miller, Strong, Wright and Selvy families.
