YAZOO CITY — William T. Martin Sr. died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at his home. He was 73.

Mr. Spencer was retired from Canadian National Railroad and was a member of Short Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Ann Norwood; and his parents, John W. Martin and France Virginia Neely.

Survivors include his son, William T. Martin Jr. of Pelahatchie; two sisters, Marilyn Lewis of Yazoo City and Margaret Douglas of Bentonia; and two granchildren.

Services will be at 2 today at Stricklin-King Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Hutto officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation begins at noon at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Malone and Clifford Martin.
