HOUSTON — Gloria “Penny” Humes a former resident of Vicksburg, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011. She was 69.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille “Gladys” Miller.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Humes of El Mirage, Ariz., and Gregory Humes of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Ursula “Michelle” Johnson of Suwanee, Ga.; three sisters, Barbara Jean Anderson of Vicksburg, Miss., and Linda Coleman and Tonia Marshall, both of Houston, Texas; and her brother, Larry Hall of Richmond, Texas; along with other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
