A Vicksburg physician has gained certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in the subspecialty of infectious disease.

Dr. T. Jonathan Oluwatade has been an internist at River Region Medical Center since 2009, and he has been board certified in internal medicine since 2006. For the ABIM certification, Oluwatade was required to demonstrate clinical judgment and patient care skills and patient care.

River Region, located on U.S. 61 North, was opened in 2002 and is Vicksburg’s primary health care facility.
