One of seven men arrested in the city last week for selling cocaine faces an additional charge, Lt. Bobby Stewart of the Vicksburg Police Department said this morning.
Derrick Thomas, 31, 610 Martin St., was picked up Jan. 6 after a 6-month investigation that led to the arrests and confiscation of $600 in cocaine.
Police since have found evidence to charge Thomas with another count of sale of cocaine, Stewart said.
Thomas this morning was in Warren County Jail without bond.
Also arrested on Jan. 6 were Thomas’ brother, Antonio Thomas, 27, 902 Blossom Lane; Caris London, 28, 1614 First East St.; Keith Wilson, 28, 124 Lovers Lane; Frederick Hill, 28, 1720 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.; and Vance Gray, 28, 902 Cairo Drive. The Thomas brothers’ cousin, Carlton Thomas, 34, 1816 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., was picked up the next morning.
Antonio Thomas, London and Gray were released from Warren County Jail Friday after posting bond. Carlton Thomas, Hill and Wilson remain in custody without bond.
