Asenath M. Shy of Vicksburg died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. She was 83.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Sena was the Mississippi director of Clan McDonald for several years. She enjoyed traveling and had a great love for people. Sena loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard E. Shy Jr.; her parents, Judge Richard and Belle Malone; a son, Millard Edward “Mickey” Shy III; and a brother, Richard Malone.

Survivors include a daughter, Anita (Daniel) Boswell; one son, Danny M. (Pam) Shy; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Elizabeth Hagwood, Joyce Mattina and Jeanette Robinson.

Pallbearers will be Cody Emerle, Daniel Shy, Steven Shy, Randy Bennett, Brent Dunnaway and Jason Rutland.

Honorary pallbearers will be John LaSalle, Ray Wade, Marce Rutland, Dr. George Abraham and Dr. Murray Whitaker.
