A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning charged with kidnapping and a drug court violation.

Detrick Fleming, 32, 2113 Pearl St., surrendered to Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 4:25 p.m. Thursday at the direction of his drug court probation officer after hearing of a kidnapping complaint filed by a woman with whom he had a previous relationship, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Pace said Fleming fought with the woman at a bar on Green Hill Road, grabbed her by the hair, forced her into his car and drove her to his home, where he held her overnight.

The victim fled the next morning after Fleming left the home, Pace said. He was held without bond.
