Jean Evans died Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Promise Specialty Hospital. She was 84.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Fields and “Raggy” Ragsdale officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Jean worked at Westinghouse, Snack-A-Minit, Mr. C’s Cafeteria and 15 years for Golden Corral. She enjoyed her church and the church family. She had a great love for her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Clark and Mae Clark Westcott; husband, Lonnie Evans; and sister, Peggy Dungan.

Survivors include son, Arthur Evans (Sandy); grandchildren, Jeanice Evans Skipper (Stacy), Jeanelle Evans Caraway (Gabe), Melissa Birdsong Stockton (Jason) and Bob Birdsong; and great-grandchildren, Alden and Maralee Skipper and Gabby Caraway and Indigo Stockton.

Pallbearers will be Stacy Skipper, Gabe Caraway, Jason Stockton, Bob Birdsong, Gary Jones and Dale Goss.
