A county man was in the Warren County Jail this morning charged with possession of a stolen weapon, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Jaharvey B. Caples, 21, 448 Boy Scout Road, was a passenger in a car that was stopped at U.S. 61 North near U.S. 80 just before midnight, Pace said. As the deputy approached the car he saw that Caples, who was sitting in back left side seat, had a gun in the waistband of his pants. The deputy found the Smith and Wesson 9mm had been reported stolen in Hinds County.
Caples was being held without bond pending an initial court hearing.
