Lida Mae Thompson-Speyerer

Lida Mae Thompson-Speyerer, a retired hairstylist, passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, in Jacksonville, Fla., after a short illness. She was 96 years old.

She was a native of Vicksburg and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge, on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by Charles Thompson. Interment will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Speyerer of Nashville, Tenn.; sons, Jack Holsomback and wife Gloria of Vicksburg and George Speyerer and wife Ann of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two grandchildren, Terry Ann Odom and Mark Dwain Holsomback.
