Richard L. Whatley died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, in Copiah County. He was 48.

Mr. Whatley was born in Vicksburg and lived in Redwood. He worked for the Wood Group Production as an offshore production operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Lynnwood Whatley and Patsy S. Whatley.

Survivors include two sons, Derrick Whatley and Adam Whatley, both of Winnsboro, La.; a brother, Larry Barrett of Port Gibson; and a sister, Kim Whatley of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Dole officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be noon Monday until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Renny Selby, Mark Selby, Rick Barber, Al Stinks, Gary Hearn and Rodney Wolvertone.
