Miss Kellum to wed Mr. Boyd in Tunica

The Rev. Rose Akers Kellum of St. Joseph, La., announces the engagement of her daughter, Margaret Finley, to Robert Lamar Boyd. Mr. Boyd is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lamar Boyd of Tunica.
Miss Kellum is also the daughter of the late Dr. Herman E. Kellum Jr. of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Finley Akers Jr. of Vicksburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman E. Kellum Sr. of Houma, La.
Mr. Boyd is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Clyde Boyd of Tunica and Mrs. Hansel Scipper of Ruleville and the late Mr. Scipper.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Warren Central High School. She attended the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She received a nursing degree from Hinds Community College, where she was an honor graduate.
Miss Kellum is employed at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven.
The prospective groom is an honor graduate of the Tunica Institute of Learning. He received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Boyd is a partner in Totelow Planting Company and Beaver Dam Hunting Services in Tunica.
Vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. March 5, 2011, at Tunica United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at the Family Life Center. They will make their home in Tunica.
