John and Betty Stout will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday. They met as seniors at Jett High School in 1959.

They were married Feb. 3, 1961, in a simple home wedding. They have three daughters, Cindy Fumbanks (Louis), Karen Barnes (Jason) and Suzanne Stabler (Robby). They also have eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The couple will be honored by their children and grandchildren with a family celebration on Saturday.
