Emergency workers help Terry Mack, 48, 50 Ironwood Drive, from his overturned car after a wreck late Saturday afternoon at Clay Street and Old Highway 27. Mack, westbound on Clay around 5 p.m., was turning left onto Old 27 when he wrecked, Vicksburg police officer Jaclynn Noel said. Mack’s Buick Regal struck a utility pole at Old 27 and eastbound Clay and flipped. A motorist stopped and helped him out of the car by breaking a window with an ax. Mack was taken to River Region Medical Center, where his condition was undetermined, hospital spokesman Allen Karel said Saturday night.
