TALLULAH — Services for Leonard Earl “Pete” Mc-Knight, age 54, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at the Parkview Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Clifton Wheat officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah. Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 8 at the funeral home on Crothers Drive.
Mr. McKnight died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, in an automobile accident.
Mr. McKnight was born in Delhi and raised in Tallulah. He was a graduate of Tallulah Academy and of the Diesel Mechanics Institute in Nashville. He would rather be playing in his woodshop or with the new found joys of his life, Callie and Carter, his two precious grandchildren than anything else. Callie and Carter will miss their Paw Pete.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bertha McKnight.
Survivors include one daughter, Krimson Glory Marsh and husband, Garrett of Tallulah; two grandchildren, Callie and Carter Marsh of Tallulah; siblings, Julia and J.B. Bankston of New Caney, Texas, Linda and Dewey Brock and Wayne and Carolyn McKnight, all of Tallulah; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Robert Purvis, Larry Cox, Ronnie Parker, Charlie Wayne Noland, Marley Odom, Sammy Raney, Cloid White and Hunter White.
