SOUTHAVEN — Chekita Hedrick-Bell died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at Baptist Hospital Desoto. She was 31.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Nicholas.

Mrs. Bell was survived by her husband, Jason Bell of Southaven; a son, Elijah Bell of Southaven; two daughters, Evelyn Bell and Emily Bell, both of Southaven; her mother, Shirley Hedrick of Southaven; maternal grandparents, T.J. and Jessie Hedrick of Tillman; paternal grandmother, Ruby Barnes of Port Gibson; five brothers, Brian Hedrick, Antone Hedrick, Frank Washington, Elton Washington and Derrick Wilson, all of Pattison; two sisters, Tamika Tucker of Vicksburg and Capetrice Polk of Port Gibson; and other relatives and friends, including Shenitra Johnson of Port Gibson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Christian Church in Lorman with the Rev. Ray Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Grove Cemetery in Pattison. Visitation will be today from 1 until 6 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.
