President Barack Obama and the loyal Republican opposition are poised to spend $7 trillion to save $1 trillion over the next 10 years.

Did anybody ever think our ongoing wars could be costing us money?

Why not shut down the wars as fast as a drill instructor can say, “about face”? Why not bring all of our troops home so fast that they can watch coverage of their homecoming on the evening news and stop dropping million-dollar bombs out of billion dollar airplanes?

Did anybody in their ivory towers of power ever think of that?

Duh?
