Joyce H. Weeks died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at her residence. She was 70.

Born in Monticello, Miss., she had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1976. Mrs. Weeks was the daughter of the late Olivay Harvey and Eunice Sills Harvey.

She was a former employee of the Valley Department Store and Michael’s Jewelers. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Weeks of Vicksburg; two daughters, Rachel W. Gordon (Kenneth) of New Orleans and Janet W. Fairchild of Vicksburg; one son, Ronnie Weeks (Rhonda) of Vicksburg; five grandchildren, David Lee Byrum, Kristen Byrum, Peter Tarnabine, Ronnie Weeks Jr. and Caleb Curtis; and one great-grandson, Andrew David Byrum.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Kent Campbell, pastor of Woodlawn Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Sylvarena Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson at 2 p.m. Visitation will be today from 2 until 4 p.m.

Pallbearers will be James Ray Owens, Randle Drane, Ronnie Weeks Jr., David Byrum, Kurt Jackson, Kyle Jackson, Peter Tarnabine Jr., Tim Weeks, Daryl Owens, Jeff Weeks and Craig Jackson.

Memorials may be made to charities of choice.
