An engineer at the U.S. Army Research and Development Center’s environmental laboratory has been selected as one of the New Faces of Engineering by the National Engineers Week Foundation.
Jared L. Johnson, 30, a research environmental engineer develops new technologies and management approaches to reduce environmental impacts due to military training.
He develops technologies to manage explosive particles in the environment, preventing them from getting into groundwater or off-site areas near active training ranges.
Johnson is currently studying to get his doctorate in civil engineering and geological sciences from the University of Notre Dame. The New Faces of Engineering recognition program highlights the work of young engineers.
