Sean Ellison Hensley and Chiara Shani Menette Thomas were married in a Baha’i ceremony at 3 p.m. Jan. 8, 2011, at the Western Justice Center in Pasadena, Calif. The Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Pasadena officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Nola and Ervin L. Thomas of Detroit, Mich. The groom is the son of Jeanine and Jeffrey Hensley of Vicksburg.

The couple’s introduction was made by Judge James F. Nelson. Their chosen colors were ivory and chocolate brown.

Ring bearer was Leda Umaia McLeary Thomas of Detroit.

A reception followed at Mijares Restaurant in Pasadena.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled on a cruise to Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan.

The couple will make their home in Pasadena. The bride is employed at Pasadena City College, and the groom is employed at MJO Staffing in Ontario, Calif.
