There’s no question that Vicksburg High’s Dellie C. Robinson has been one of the most successful coaches in Mississippi.

And that phrase, “No question about it,” is one of the favorites of a coach who won a state championship in 2003 and has the Gators back in the Big House for third time in four seasons.

“No question about it, Mychal Ammons, is the best player I’ve ever coached,” Robinson said in describing his 6-foot-6 senior center, who has led the Gators (26-3) to the Class 6A semifinals. The Gators face Pascagoula (24-7) Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.

There are many more familiar Robinson refrains. As their high school careers wind down, four of his seniors have heard them plenty.
