Electronics hot in city burglaries

Three burglaries were reported in the city Tuesday, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

• A 50-inch plasma TV valued at $1,000, an LG Blu-ray DVD player valued at $125, a 15-inch Toshiba TV valued at $300, and 11 rings valued at $600 and $100 were reported taken from a home in the 100 block of John Allen Street at 11:12 a.m. All of the items except for the rings were recovered 30 minutes later in woods behind the house, Stewart said. Witnesses said two men carried items out of the house earlier in the day. No other description was given.

• An Xbox 360 game system valued at $300 and a Jimenez .22 caliber handgun valued at $150 were reported missing at 2:47 p.m. from a home in the 100 block of Elizabeth Circle.

• Just before 8 p.m., a 22-inch Visio TV valued at $300, a 19-inch Sanyo TV valued at $200 and a bottle of Ed Hardy perfume valued at $80 were reported missing from a home in the 4000 block of Halls Ferry Road.
