Virginia Fay Irwin

Virginia Fay Irwin died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. She was 47.

Born in Brandon, Mrs. Irwin had been a resident of Warren County most of her life. She was a graduate of Humphreys Academy in Belzoni and attended the Antonelli College of Cosmetology. She was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Activity Committee and involved in Vacation Bible School.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Ann Kyzar.

Survivors include her husband, Joey Irwin of the Oak Ridge community; a son, Andrew “A.J.” Irwin of Oak Ridge; a stepson, Henry Irwin of Oak Ridge; her father, W.J. Kyzar of Sebastopol; and one brother, Jerry Kyzar of Jackson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Henry officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until the service.

Pallbearers will be Jack Pace, Jimmy Chester, Doug Russell, Don Whittenberg, Chris Birdsong, Johnny Griffin, Jerry Bailey and Charles Cobb.

Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Sanderford, Jennifer Sanderford, Shannon Curro, David and Connie Hosemann, Cassandra Smith, Falstine Jones, Dr. Eugene Ferris, Dan and Cathy Ellis and doctors and nurses at River Region Medical Center and Mission Primary Care.
