The Rev. William Joseph “Bill” Vollor Jr. died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in Hattiesburg. He was 76.

Born in Vicksburg, Rev. Vollor was preceded in death by his father, William J. Vollor Sr., and a brother, the Rev. John C. Vollor.

Survivors include his mother, Valera Meacham Vollor of Madison; a sister, Valera Derivaux of Huntsville, Ala.; two brothers, Tim Vollor of Auburn, Ala., and Frank Vollor of Vicksburg; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hattiesburg at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where he was pastor. A second funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Vicksburg. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Riles Funeral Home. Visitation will be at St. Paul from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service.
