A resident of the 1900 block of Baldwin Ferry Road walked out of his home this morning to find three of the tires and rims from his vehicle stolen, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

The grand larceny was reported at 4:49 a.m. on a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass parked in the 1900 block, Stewart said.

The 22-inch chrome rims and tires were valued at $300 each. Stewart said the resident might have scared off the thief before the fourth tire could be removed, but he saw no one.
