Miss Phillips to marry Mr. Smith in Jamaica

The engagement of Kristin Nicole “Kristi” Phillips to James “Cory” Smith, both of McKinney, Texas, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. March 19, 2011, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. A reception will follow aboard a private, chartered catamaran.
Miss Phillips is the daughter of Wendy Phillips of Frisco, Texas, and Richard Phillips of Roscoe, Ill. She is the granddaughter of Peter and Beverly Phillips of Racine, Wis., and the late Ilow and Mildred Heinz.
Mr. Smith is the son of Albert and Lynnette Smith of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of James Wiltcher of Vicksburg and the late Dorothy Wiltcher and the late O.C. and Mary Smith.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Hononegah High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader, high honor roll academic scholar and a member of the varsity track team.
She received nursing registration and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Illinois State University, where she was a member of Early Admit and Chi Omega and was named to the dean’s list for four years.
Miss Phillips is admitting nurse case manager at Reach-out Homecare.
The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Warren Central High School, where he was a member of the Viking A Club, Who’s Who Among High School Students and Christian Athletes. He played junior varsity and varsity football and received the Viking Valor Award.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation management from Delta State University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha and AOPA.
Mr. Smith is an assistant chief pilot and flight instructor for Martinaire Aviation.
