A new management firm is in place at Battlefield Inn and renovations will begin soon at the North Frontage Road motel, its new general manager said Tuesday.

BAMS Associates LLC plans improvements to the 117-room hotel, its restrooms and associated meeting space during the next few months, general manager Dawn Stephenson said.

The Philadelphia, Pa.-based company arrived Friday, two weeks after the hotel sold for $1 million to U.S. Bank National Association at a foreclosure sale. Previous general manager Alma Butler has been retained to work in sales.

Stephenson said Jacques’ Cafe in the Park and the adjacent sports bar will remain open throughout the renovations.
