Tech honor goes to District engineers

Patricia R. Hemphill and Phillip C. Rogers, engineers with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District, have each received the Modern Day Technology Leadership Award.
The annual award is a part of the Black Engineer of the Year awards program.
Hemphill is assistant division chief of the Program and Project Management division. She has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State, and has completed the Army Management Staff College program of Sustaining Base Leadership Management and Harvard University’s Executive Education Program. She is a registered professional engineer.
Rogers is a civil engineer in the design branch of the Engineering and Construction division. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi.
