Strickland, Robertson to recite vows May 7

The engagement of Katie Strickland to Curtis Robertson, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. The wedding will be at noon May 7, 2011, at Mississippi State University’s Chapel of Memories in Starkville. A reception will follow at The Ritz Theater in West Point.

Miss Strickland is the daughter of Susann Strickland and the late William Keith Strickland of Iuka. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Boyce Strickland and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mike Morris, all of Memphis.

Mr. Robertson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph R. Robertson Jr. of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. Caley Ray Nichols of Vicksburg and Nell Robertson and the late Ralph Richmond Robertson Sr. of Dothan, Ala.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Tishomingo County High School, where she was a cheerleader and a member of the Anchor Club and Beta Club.

She attended Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Miss Strickland is a civil engineer for Entergy Operations Inc. at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station.

The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of St. Aloysius High School, where he played baseball and was a member of Mu Alpha Theta and the National Honor Society. He attended Mississippi State University.

Mr. Robertson is an environmental projects manager for Wildlife Technical Services Inc.
