A city man was in the Warren County Jail this morning charged with felony false pretense, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
Corey Moore, 25, 1200 Mission 66, Apt. 115, is accused of reporting to Trustmark Bank that two checks, one for $1,200 and one for $49, had been stolen and cashed on March 1 and 2, Stewart said.
An investigation by bank and law enforcement officials found the report to be false, Stewart said.
Moore was arrested at his home Monday at 1:45 p.m. and was being held on a $10,000 bond.
