Wayne and Suzanne Wassner of Muscle Shoals, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Suzanne, to Waverley Conway “Lee” Artz III of Starkville. Mr. Artz is the son of Waverley Jr. and Maryann Artz of Vicksburg.

Miss Wassner is the granddaughter of Grady Miller of Muscle Shoals and the late Juanita Miller and the late Donald and Wanda Wassner.

Mr. Artz is the grandson of Nancy Dolan and the late Paul Dolan and Becky Artz and the late Waverley Artz Sr., all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Muscle Shoals High School, where she was a member of the Anchor Club and FBLA. She served as an athletic hostess.

Miss Wassner received a bachelor’s degree in educational psychology and a master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, both from Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi honor society.

The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, Pride Band and swim team. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 102 and is a first degree black belt in Shotokan karate.

He received a bachelor’s degree in business information systems and a master’s degree in instructional systems, both from Mississippi State University.

Mr. Artz is network administrator for Garan Manufacturing in Starkville.

Vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. April 16, 2011, at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Muscle Shoals. A reception will follow at the Robert Trent Jones Club House. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
