UTICA — David E. Anderson Sr., formerly of Vicksburg, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. He was 68.

A native of Claiborne County, Mr. Anderson was a longtime Vicksburg resident before moving to Utica in 2004. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy and Rebecca Anderson; and a brother, H.J. Anderson.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Anderson of Utica; a son, David E. Anderson Jr. of San Francisco; two daughters, June Wright of Brookhaven and Michelle Daniel of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, JoAn Fulton of St. Louis, Mo., and Elsie Cressman of Jackson, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the family home, 1616 Westway Road in Utica, under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
