A city woman was in the Warren County Jail this morning charged with domestic violence third offense, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Clarissa Alexander, 20, 1313 Jefferson St., is accused of stabbing her ex-boyfriend, Eric East, 30, 1019 Fayette St., in the shoulder with a small kitchen knife after an argument around 11 Sunday night, Stewart said.

East was treated at the scene. Alexander left the house before police arrived but was arrested at 1:17 this morning on First East and Farmer streets, Stewart said.

Alexander was being held without bond pending an initial hearing.
