Hawkins United Methodist Church preschoolers watch as Cherokee, a rescued horse, gulps down a glass of sweet tea during a visit to the Vicksburg-Warren Humane Society. The preschoolers took donations, including treats, blankets and cat litter, to the shelter on U.S. 61 South.
