Robert Edward Kuykendall

Robert Edward Kuykendall died Monday, April 11, 2011, in Vicksburg Promise Hospital. He was 71.

Born in Erata, Miss., he had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1971. He was the son of the late John Edward Kuykendall and Claudia Earline Chancellor Kuykendall.

At the time of his death, Mr. Kuykendall was owner of Tri-State Tire. He was a member of the W.H. Stevens Masonic Lodge and the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Meme) Kuykendall of Vicksburg; two daughters, Susan Crist (John) and Teresa Bender (Ronnie), all of Vicksburg; one granddaughter, Kristin (K.C.) Crist of Vicksburg; two sisters, Glenda Cooper (Robert) of Niceville, Fla., and Becky Lewis (Robert) of Heidelberg, Miss.; and a brother, Roy K. Kuykendall (Virginia) of Laurel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy K. Kuykendall.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Elijah Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service.

Memorials may be made to charities of choice.
