Robert Austin lays the form and then works on the deck of the new swimming pool at the Y’s VerBeck Branch on Oak Ridge Road Wednesday. Y executive director Herb Wilkinson said this is the first remodeling for the 31-year-old pool. The work includes the addition of a small pool for young children and mothers, new plumbing, decks, fencing, tile and plaster. With a capacity of 120 people, the pool is expected to open for its summer run in mid-May.
