Alcorn State swept the doubles points and won four out of six singles matches to claim its sixth Southwestern Athletic Conference team tennis championship, 4-2 over Jackson State on Sunday.

Alcorn, which completed an undefeated SWAC season, dropped only one set in the matches it won Sunday. Anton Krukin and Alexander Lidzar teamed up to win their doubles match when JSU’s team of Navaneeththa Baskaran and Mitchell de Jong did not finish. Lidzar and Krukin then each won their singles matches.

Winifried Weinbeer and Yanick Shearron-Hawkins also completed the singles-doubles sweep.
